Ready Time 3.3: Travel Time

I built Ready Time to take the guesswork out of leaving on time. You tell it when you need to be somewhere and it tells you when to start each step.

There was one part of setting up steps that’s always been tedious and annoying: travel time.

Drive to the doctor, bike to soccer, walk to dinner. I’d switch to Apple Maps, search for the address, get the travel time, come back, put in the step duration.

There had to be a better way.

I mean, I built Ready Time to save time and not have to do tedious work, right? Welp, here I was doing this tedious back and forth between the app and Maps and wasting my time.

What’s new

Ready Time 3.3 adds Travel to steps. When you edit a step, pick a place, choose driving, cycling, or walking, and the travel time becomes part of the plan. Change the destination or the mode and the rest of the plan adjusts. No more jumping back and forth between apps, needing to remember, or even entering the duration anymore.

One less thing to keep in your head, and one less reason to be running late.

Onward

I’d love to hear from you, especially if you find a use for this I didn’t think of. Drop me a note.
