In comedy, “committing to the bit” means to see a joke through to the end no matter how unrealistic or strange it gets.

I’m reminded of my recent obsession into Taylor Swift’s song All Too Well that had come up recently from a Peloton workout I did. It’s been ringing in my head as any good pop song can do. And, lo and behold, coincidentally, it’s been the subject-matter of some news about Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who’d been secretly inserting lines from the song into press conferences. I’m sure he and his family had good laugh each night he slipped another line in.
