Ready Time
We’re always underestimating how long things take:
- mornings with a kid
- catching a flight
- getting out the door for dinner
It always feels like there’s enough time until suddenly there isn’t.
Ready Time works backward from your deadline. You add your steps: shower, pack lunch, get the kid dressed, drive. Then you set when you need to be done. It calculates when to start each step and sends you a notification when it’s time.
I built it because my family needed it: I liked getting to the airport super early, and my wife preferred to arrive just in time for departure. Originally, it was called Little Countdown, but folks kept thinking it was a countdown to new years eve ball drops, which wasn’t really what I was going for. And so, today we’re introducing the new name which better captures the spirit of the app: Ready Time.
